About

I got a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Michigan.

My interests are at the intersection of computer science and biology. My focus is on applications for extracting insights and solving problems related to microbial data, although I am open to exploring other areas. I also have a keen interest in machine learning and data science. I have experience with various programming languages, including Python, R, and C/C++, and I particularly enjoy working with Julia.

Currently I’m working with Dr. Evan Snitkin on a project involving the analysis of transmission clusters in healthcare-associated infections. My work involves using genomic data to identify and analyze transmission clusters, which can help inform public health interventions and improve patient outcomes.

In my free time, I like to read books, write on occasion, and play badminton. I watch almost all kinds of sports, from F1 to American football, from tennis to (real) football, but I have a special fondness for cricket. I also love watching police procedurals and sitcoms.
